Aventouras' Explore Belize trip introduces our guests to the hidden wonders of this diverse country with a fast-paced itinerary filled with adventure, culture, history, and nature. We start our adventure in the Maya Mountains in western Belize near the Guatemalan border. For three days, our guests explore the broadleaf rainforest and the Macal river region. Activities include canoeing incredible Barton Creek, exploring the Mayan ruins of Caracol, swimming the Macal River, and hiking or horseback riding the Mountain Pine Ridge Nature Reserve. The fun continues on our transfer from western Belize to the southern coast, stopping along the way for cave tubing at the Caves Branch River and wildlife viewing at the Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve. The coastal region provides us an opportunity to snorkel the Great Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, enjoy the sandy beaches of the Snake Cayes, and swim in the pristine Caribbean waters. This part of the trip is not just about fun in the sun! Our guests will also have the opportunity to explore the partially excavated Mayan ruins of Lubaantun, hike through the lush jungle, and swim in the caves of Blue Creek. Join us as we explore the hidden side of Belize, enjoying regional cuisine and Belizean hospitality with local guides and naturalists as they share their knowledge of this fascinating country.
